  • Fair & Independent Investigation – Review ALL evidence and present the facts before charging an individual
     

  • Community Advisory Boards – Trusted community advisors will provide oversight by ensuring that prosecution are fair and based on community values

Accountability

  • Engage with our local government, housing, healthcare, education, etc. 

  • Utilize research, studies, and data that support our initiatives 
     

  • Examine the finances of Tompkins County’s justice system and calculate true cost of incarceration
     

  • Collaborate with and build upon existing successful programs and initiatives

Community Powered Restorative Justice

  • Treat addiction as an illness and a public health issue, not a punishable crime

  • Treat victims with respect and sensitivity 
     

  • Foster police and community relations, increasing efficacy and public confidence in  policing
     

  • Provide vital trauma recovery programs and victim services
     

  • Scrutinize abusive police interrogation techniques
